View Full Version : No Curves in FCurve Editor

Hey guys, I've been attempting to learn MotionBuilder but compared to most programs, there seems to be very little documentation for it online. Anyways, here's the issue I've been having:

I recorded some motion capture with my university's mo-cap room. I have the takes sorted out into clips and I'm working on cleaning up the data, but there are a few moments where the joints rotate and twist around in a very jagged manner. I assume this was caused by a sensor being blocked during the recording session.

From what I understand, this type of situation is best fixed through the FCurve Editor. Unfortunately, when I use the FCurve, there is nothing in the graph (other than the occasional straight line). There are no spikes, no curves, the graph is just blank.

I've tried plotting my scene to the take, re-plotting to the skeleton, re-plotting to the control rig... nothing seems to work.

Anyone have any idea what could be causing this? Maybe I'm taking the wrong approach here...

Interesting.

Maybe you have character in Story without "A" pressed?

It`s hard to tell, maybe you can send me the file so I could look into it?

Hello,

In the navigator panel go to Opticals. Select your capture file there. Then select a marker either in the list or in the viewport.. Select "A" on the keyboard to zoom extents.

To use FCurves on the markers once you are done with them they must first be regenerated if using Rigid Bodies or marked as done in the Label Panel by clicking on the Done and set all to done.
