Dear Hash Users,

The attached image shows the same frame of the same model in the same project file rendered with the same options in AM 10.5n and in NetRender 10.5n. When rendered in AM, all looks fine but in NetRender the model is deformed (also the ground vanishes but I don’t care about that).

This NetRender model deformation bug was reported to Hash Inc about 6 months ago and at that time they acknowledged that it was a bug and have been working on it ever since. However it is time for us to render and I must find a way around this and am seeking help.

Some info:
= I’ve politely pressured Hash Inc on this issue to the point that relations between us have become strained, so that route has been exhausted – I can continue to talk to them and will but I fear for now I’m on my own with this.
= It is not the Smart Skin (that was removed) and I’m using a standard Anzovin Setup Machine rig with fan and roller bones.
= This has been tested in the last release of versions 10, 9.5 and 9 of NetRender and the problem exists in all of them (so I can’t go to a previous version of NR).

The fact that NR differs from AM is obliviously a serious flaw: how can you fix what you can not see, how can you craft in AM and use NR to render when they do not always produce the same results. I’m sure Hash Inc will eventually fix the problem but I’ve waited 6 months and my deadline’s upon me.

Not all models do this so, I must find a way to pin down why some models do and some don’t and find a workaround or, find some other way to get around this flaw.

Any ideas, suggestions or thoughts on what I might try would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rusty Williamson
