hi,
I've got a problem. When i run 3dsmax5.1 with dual monitors one of my screens becomes unusable and all you can see is the desktop in the viewports. i'm running in openGL with a geforce4 Ti 4200.All other applications run fine in dual view.

thanx

Hey!

I use to have a similar problem running Maya PLE on
a Matrox Parhelia.

The fix to the problem was simply to run the monitors
in span mode and not independant mode.

Check your display options and and let us know how it
turns out.

Cheers!

Agree. Span mode will allow you to have both monitors supported with OpenGL / DirectX.

Formerly used Softimage XSI on dual monitor with no hassel with that idea. :wavey:

Dual View will allow you to have OpenGL on both monitors but you have to check something in the OpenGL settings and it depends on what driver rev we are talking about.

Dual View will be a tad slower than nView Span mode. You should always be running in nView Span mode unless you need to run the monitors at different resolutions.

I would also recommend grabbing 52.16.
