Can someone explain the correct procedure, to apply 2d motion blur, the manual makes it seem very straightfoward, but I get no result at all!!

Cheers, Nick

Turn on motionblur in the render options. But turn the shutter speed to something really low, like 0.01 (The 2d motion blur shader needs motion vectors to work.) Also make sure that you have "Output" checked in the shaders section of the "Active Effects" render options.

Because the higher the shutter speed the slower the render. Most of the time, a setting of 0.01 will hardly slow down your render at all.
