View Full Version : Car : Integra Type-R
thx1138 10-23-2003, 09:29 PM Haven't seen this one around in 3D yet. So figured it was time to build it. I'm using Lightwave.
Principal modeling is done, except for the interior and underside.

Nice looking model! It's going to be great when you're done.
Now for the usual question: Could you post an image with a wireframe for us?
Keep up the good work!

Very nice, clean model, I like it a lot. Can't awit to see it with a nice paint job and all that. MagikShooz, in the USA it's called an Acura RSX Type-S, in japan it's called a Honda integra Type-r. Whether or not the model is supposed to be tha Japan spec, i'm not sure. Hope that clears anything up.

I'll try to throw on a paint job this weekend. But for now, here's the wireframe. It's about 15000 sub's.

looks great..
cool car btw...would really like to have one.
waar uit den haag kom je..voor het eerst dat ik iemand uit den haag hier zien.
Zit je ook op school voor 3D?
thx1138

Like to have on ? You bet ya. Too bad Honda decided not to make the new Integra availble in Europe. And the Acura RSX (which is basically the same) is only available in North America.
So we're stuck with the digital version. Easier to change colors though ;)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welke precies ?

I think it needs something to reflect, like a self-illuminated plane above it, or HDRI cause then that would make it much easier to tell which color would look the best. That's about it, other than that I like it a lot. Keep us updated!

good modeling... where did you get the blueprints ? and what method did you use to model the car / how long have you been learning Lightwave ?
thx1138

I used the blueprint from this model kit by Fujimi.

I also got the other Type-R. So that one's next, perhaps. Right now I've got like 20 ideas to do in LW, but only time to do 1.

I've been using Lightwave for about 7 or 8 years on and off. Last 3 years I've really stepped it up, but it's still just a hobby.

What method did you use to model it. I just got lightwave and and am not sure what would be a good method to model it by. Thanks

ive started modelling the CTR myself. we dont get the ITR here in the uk but they look seriously fast. Ive drive a CTR myself and am trying to build 'my car'.
still at a v. early stage got most of the body done but still need a few bumps/ dents ironed out

You're driving a CTR yourself ? Ok so what are you doing behind your PC. I would be out spinning it 24/7 ;)
Ok maybey not 24/7. I've got a Coupe myself. Same generation. But it lacks the power and handling of the CTR or ITR.
You red CTR is coming along very nice. I'm kinda stuck with the ITR interior. I just can't seem to connect it with the outside properly. So I put it aside for a moment, and doing some 2D stuff now. But I plan to finish it for sure.
