The complexities of creating a complex mechanical piece can be overcame with decent preperation and planning. In this tutorial by myself (olblue) you are NOT shown how to make a robot yet. Instead you are shown the process of preperation by creation of a library of parts that you will be able to reuse as many times as you need in order to create a variety of models.

In addition to learning how to create complex machine parts, you are shown how to amalgamate them into more complex structures that are also added into the tool library.

As if that is not enough the entire library of parts is also available as a max file for you to use on your own projects!

(Max file and its seperate parts are NOT for resale via model share and sale sites)

At over 10 hours in length and packed end to end with top information and advice as well as precice hard surface modeling lessons, you will find this tutorial invaluable if you are planning on taking hard surface modeling of complex mechanical objects to the next level.

Set is priced at 34.99 for the download via SteelPython with the DVD being priced at 40 plus postage. The commercial download is available here (http://www.3d-palace.com/store-2/#ecwid:category=840506&mode=product&product=3883459)

Thanks for letting me know. We have had a few problems, especially in Australia with people not being able to properly access the site - leading to us migrating the server we are on to a new home on the 5th of next month. I'm sorry about this however the site will be visible to you very shortly I promise! You can in the meantime use proxies like vtunnel.com and their like (I know its inconvenient, sorry about that).
