Lets see the skin with a bit more light on it, it's really dark now and doesn't show up well (at least the second one, the first skin test link doesn't work for me). What I can see looks very nice, lots of detail and breaks away from the standard grey.

You going to animate him? Maybe some clothes/accessories would add nicely to the character.

You've got a great owl thing going on with his textures so far. I say study the patterns of owls, and replicate them in the yellow/green look that you've got going here. Excelent start!

Thanks for the comments! I am stil working on the textures (currently head and torso)... this is where I am now.. everything is plastic :) if you have ideas..

the textures kinda make it look like he was painted on, maybe play with some settings to get it right.

I think the reason they look painted on is that the changes in color are not reflected in the bump map at all. Though I assume this will change when you start working on the bump on the body. I would also suggest that you add more variation to the colors (all of them) as subtelty will make it look a lot more "real".

i assume you didnt textured the eyes yet?? if you did, you need too make it more drastic.

Oooh. Much better! Fix the seams in his hands, and then start work on his spec map! Also, make the hilite on his eyes real crisp. Those eyes need to look wet and super-reflective.
