wow that's a lot of pics! But it looks really cool. My only question is what is your final vision? Is it to be a still image of the intirior with the city in the background or is it to be an animation....? If you're focusing on the city itself, my only complaint is that the same building is repeated several times to the point where it's pretty obvious. But if it's just a background thing it's probably okay. Still though, the modeling is really good. Nice work!

yeah its a background thing really .. once the apt and the city are comped u cant really focus on the city so i did repeat some buildings.. especially cause yeaj it is a nimation.. and modeling a lot of stuff thats only in bg.. i dont think is too smart so i rather repeated some of em.. thanks though...

thanks manny thanks Dave.. hehe.. glad u guys like it!!

I think it's a nice touch with the billboards. I'm guessing they're like video billboards or something? This is one of those things that when artists illustrate their vision of the future, these little details are typically wrong, but in the future when we look back, it looks cute. For example: In the 60s, they said in 1980, some car companies would have a glass dome roof on each sedan. Also, in Lost in Space, the series happened in 1997... Star Trek had the character "Khan" who was an evil leader of millions in 1996 that was sent on a subwarp 'prison' ride, kryogenically frozen... We don't even have that tech today really.

Video billboards exist today, but I think as we progress, we'll find that a better advertisement is through quality of service and the trust in said company, as well as word of mouth.

Anyway, I still love everything about this work, ALX. I can't wait to see some animations, or some hi-resolution shots of this. I like the VVega as well. : )

Something I noticed: Below the VVega (Assuming that's what the TV is, it looks very similar to a Sony.) there are some odd lines. Are these shadows cast by something I can't see, or are they shading errors? EDIT: Nevermind, I looked again and saw the blinds in front of the window in the background.

Absolute marvelous work.

This is really great!! I would love to live in this place. Fantastic work!! ^_^

The criticism with the repetition in buildings could be rectified fairly easily I think. The most distinctive building is the one with the sloped roof. If you were to turn on of those buildings 90 degrees and/or alter the heights I think it would be far less 'glaring'. It's not essential but just something I thought might help.

Love the apartment. One question I have though is about the positioning of the TV! It seems slightly impractical to have a TV located there, with no seating and a strange curve of wall opposite the TV.

Amazing pieces here, very realistic but nice and bright too. I'm very impressed!

wow... im glad all of u liked it...

well the lines in the tv unfortunately are some dephmap shadows problems that i gotta fix... thanks for reminding me hehe..

well as far as nurbs or polys, its mostly polys i used to model in nurbs but ive come to like polys alot.. u really do model faster (imo) and u can control more texturing details i think... so now i like polys better..
just in case this is maya made ibn maya,
and about the positioning... hehe
it is impractical.. i just think it llooks nice there.. hehe i guess its one of those rich person hoses, that have lots of things in odd places.. :surprised

well thanks for taking a look guys...!!

the only things that i have a problem with is your shot through the window (the bars are too symmetrical, i would use an angle or not use the shot at all), and how you put the airplane in the scene.

the only reason why i suggest taking the airplane out is because of the events that took place on 9/11 (some people may get offended); but, that's your choice.

looks good.

I just saw a problem. On the pic of the house interior, the floor is reflecting everything except the plant. The plant holder is being reflected, but i dont see the plant. Other than that it looks awesome.
