Solomon 10-23-2003, 02:32 PM hi guys
I saw a neat feature in the new Max 6 - Shell modifier
Does maya have anything comparable to this or better?

being a trained drafter, it sounds like there starting to incorperate features from
Autocad. I did also read that they have a much improved dfx support, which is an Autocad format. Most 3d cad programs have had something like this for a while. you have no idea how much i missed some of the cad functionality.
oh and the best thing about cad is WORKING Bouloons. <- never said i could spell :)
Id imagine any of the mel scripters that hang around here could implement such functionality pretty easily
cheers

shell sound like it's just a combination of extrude face with the option to bevel built in to the same menu.
1. select faces > extrude faces.
2. select edge > bevel or better yet use Byron's free bevel tool (do a search of the forum for the link).
that's it.
