LATEST UPDATE ON TOP:
Here is my entry so far
I was mostly concepting from imagination and directly within Zbrush / Silo and adjusting design as I go on. I am discovering the character's features/backstory as I flesh the character out and adjusting constantly. I know this isn't convenional way to concept but I did have some clear image in my mind and anyhow here goes:
Final title to be finaliazed, as well as brief/backstory

Here is some progress
I removed tentacles for now. I added arms, fixed knees, adjusted some armor elements and added tertiary details in some areas. Nothing finalized, just experimenting till it's right. Boots aren't sculpted yet just placeholder, nor are arms finished etc but here is progress shot till now:

I made quite a few changes/additions
I was thinking he would be floating so I took off his foot armor and changed legs etc. I added a centerpiece at his back etc
What do you guys think about the blindfold idea (i.e. his vision is from accessories/tentacles)? Shall I remove or keep blindfold?
Here is my progress anyhow
What do you guys suggest?
Also do you guys think I should add a weapon?
Wow this is great stuff, one of the few who are going for some good godly feel AND some good symbolism and not just a person with a sword hehehe :)
The execution of it is looking flawless, I am watching with great interest, I have a feeling you will get far in this!

I think blindfold is a good idea, god can be anything :) I don't think your god needs a weapon too, he looked quite deadly in this state now, maybe you can treat the tentacles as weapons. Nice work btw

Hey TomJ and Kirmu thanks for your feedback much appreciated! No one was commenting before you guys and I had no clue where I stood yet :P
I have a few more progress shots. I rendered these without blindfold but if you guys like the blindfold idea, and I think it's good, I will add it again, just these particular renders don't have blindfold
