View Full Version : Character : Medieval character
BelgianGuy 04-09-2011, 10:04 AM Hi, I'm Loïc Paulus, a video game student in Belgium.
Here is my first attempt to create a character. The highpoly sculpt is finished and I'd like some feedback about the proportions before I begin the retopology. Of course I'm opened to all comments and critique.

Nice job overall. :) Raise the features of the face a bit so the eyes are centered, and I think shorten the arms.
This is good for reference: http://f.cl.ly/items/3p013B3a052P0E243m3W/loomis_FIGURE_draw-19.jpeg
I really like the boots and clothes btw. The clothes especially have nice smooth folds and the boots are well formed.

Thanks for the feedback =)
Now that you say it, it's obvious that the arms are too long.
Unfortunatelly, it took so long to validate my first post that I already finished the retopology and the UVs. This is a work for school so I can't spend as much time working on it as I'd like and redo the retopology with correct proportions. And I would also like to rig it if I still have the time. Futhermore I'm working on several other projects. But I'll keep what you said in mind for my next character
And thank you a lot for the ref, it's very usefull
