I am new to the forums and scripting in general I was wondering if there was a way of querying weather or not you are in ctxEditMode; (edit pivot) ? Almost like the list selected command - mc.ls. To be used in an If statement

ctxEditModeStatus=(weather or not ctxEditMode is active)
If ctxEditModeStatus ==1:

Is there a way to not have to click while using a marking menu more like modo you hit the command and on release it runs it?

Py is preferred mel works too!
