Hello people,
i'm coming from Biped and CAT actually is driving me crazy !!
in CS we sould have ancor to link the hand to an object

http://img232.imageshack.us/img232/6756/catturaqs.jpg

the staff have 2 dummy (one per hand) and booth are linked to the staff.
the first dummy is linked to the left hand via animation->constrain->link constrain
on this way when i move the hand i move the staff too

but with the other hand (the left one) i'm lost... i can't link the hand to the dummy 'cause
"List controller error !" and "LookAt Constrain Not Completed" error .... heeeelp

we run into this at work a lot.. the way we handle it is to first position the "other" hand on the staff where you weant it, then create a dummy object and align it to the IK wrist controller, and on that same frame link the aligned dummy object to the staff... now the dummy will stay in the spot you want the second hand to be on the staff. Then use an animated align script from scriptspot to snap the IK wrist to the dummy object for the sequence of frames that you want the wrist to stay planted

Thnx alot i'll test it ASAp, for a matter of time i've animated the hand frame by frame, luckly it was a very short and fast animation, but for sure i'll meet this problem again in a couple of days.

The only AnimatedAlgin available is from Blur Studio but it's from 2006 :hmm:

it's called AutoKeyer (http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/autokeyer)

This script lets you automatically align one object to another (animated) by aligning it in every frame ... for animators
