ALIENWARE Challenge Entry: Michael Yucka

OK, well. I didn't realize just signing up would automatically render this thread.

I'll probably have a rough concept later tonight or by this weekend. Lots of competitors for this one.

I'm not a sci-fi guy, but I will try.

OK, here are some ideas I came up with today:

This is based on a world that is not sphericle, rather built like a torus. The sun object is the core.

This one is more a traditional floating island type...I think it is too Robota.

This last is my fav so far. Some work needs to be done to make it look more alien.

Please disregard colors. They are just placeholders. I'm thinking of combining, but I think I'll dream up more of a backstory of this place.....hmm. Crits welcome.

Well, here is my final idea for this challenge. Obviously I need a bit of work still. I will be making some detail drawings so I can get a grasp on what I need to do to realize this.

My land mass is coming along. I added some temporary fog to give it a little depth for showing here. No lights and basic texturing.
