This is the latest thing I've modeled. It was a study on how skin might cling to the skull on a non-idealistic face. This character is female, although almost all my friends have mistaken her for male.
I'm looking for critiques on how to represent this model: How to use lighting to best show off the curves of the face. Also, any critiques on the model itself will be most welcome. though I _think_ that I'm pretty much finished in that area.
This model has a UV map, but I'm not very interested in making a realistic texture right now. I am however curious if some sort of noise map, or other simple texture would help the image. Do people usually have textures on the models they light?
What about background for this image? Would she look better without the base she's placed on? And background color, I know this is a very cliché GI blue. Does it hurt the image?
Thanks a lot for any critiques you can give me!
BTW, she's modeled in Wings3d, and rendered with MR for Maya.
