View Full Version : Mental Ray : Blurred Reflections and Passes

I 'm rendering a head with HDRI and I was wondering if there is a way to blur my reflections on this head? In renderer like Brazil or Vray you can use glossy reflection (you can do that with the dgs but this mr shader doesn't have bump and incandescence slot). I was thinking about rendering reflections passes but i don't know where to find the option. I have a little walktrough consisting in rendering a black mesh with only reflections, but it's not very user friendly.

If anyone has information, it will help me a lot :)

you can do that with the dgs but this mr shader doesn't have bump and incandescence slot
I'm not sure about the incandescence (haven't used dgs with it yet), but you can surely do bump. Check the maya release notes, it's mentioned there.
