View Full Version : Filling a bowl with macaroni
Stellios 03-31-2011, 06:47 PM Seems simple right, but it appears there are a couple of limitations
1. No self collisions?
2. Particles use bounding box center to collide with deflectors?
I know max is limited, but com'on, if this is the case then thats pretty bad lol. ideas?
running max 2009 btw.

max native tools: reactor...
thats why there are plugins like physx which is free!
production plugins that cost money: Particle Flow Box#2, RayFire and TP for rigid bodies.

SimCloth might actually be a great idea! for RBD stuff i find it easier to handle then the cloth modifier shipping with Max.

May I ask why? This is akin to trying to pound in a nail with a screwdriver when there is a perfectly good hammer within hands reach. Simcloth if free ;)
But yeah, you need soft body simulations
EDIT: ah I was thinking spaghetti not macaroni.
