You're right about the fur, to be honest, I tried so many different ways to create a nice one( fur, hair, shave and haircut) but there were always problems, I needed to comb a very nice hair, it would take so much time, I attached an image of the combed version but for making it better I should have spent more time and for rendering a good fur with high quality lighting, I needed to have a good system (I did this image on my laptop, what a pain!) at the end, these are just lame excuses, I was so lazy to do that :)

First of all thank you all for your time.

Nawaz, thanks for paying attention and giving such a good critique. I agree with you. Actually, I was trying to get his lips and cheek effected from his hand, I tried many different poses but it always broke his smile curve. At the end I decided to get his smile right and put just a very faint effect on his cheek but I'm sure if I spent more time I could have both of them simultaneously. :)

I feel like it has a rich color choice and the lighting is amazing. It creates an overall childish atmosphere that is very enjoyable to look at. The only weird thing about it is my eye seems to be drawn away from the main character and toward the octopus and eels in the background.

Very nice picture, everything is well balanced and the focus is spot on the subject. Bravo. One more in my 'favorite' folder.
Just one detail, really of no importance : the shadows show a blind slat on the window, but the reflect in the eyes does not... (ha! i had to find something.)

I would think that if the cat was in love with fishes, that he would have a happier expression on his face since he is doodling his love interest.

If not a happier expression on his face, then maybe his ears perked up instead. The ear position gives me the impression that he is sad or bored.

Also, the shadows from the blinds are a bit too distracting. Perhaps if the shadows were less defined, more blurry. They seem too sharp.
