My concept sketch. The pods are sucking nutrients from the ground and when full they pop and spread their gasses into the sky. Kind of natural terraforming. Not sure about the colors yet. Just messing around right now w/ the concept.

A quick work in progress shot. I've been lazy about doing work on the challenge :-(. This gives a better idea of what i want a pod to look like then the concept sketch

A little more detail, started the verticle vines/lashings of the pod.

These images look suspicious like the bacterial growth pods being secretly developed by the NIH. Did you base them on that research?

Hahaha no... I don't even know about any of the research going on at NIH. Funny, James and Andy think it looks like an ovary.
