Very good news for owners of a Geforce FX 5800/Ultra, the chips of those cards are both NV30GL it seems. Performance seems to be the same in SpecView7.1a at least, all you need is nvstrap driver. Maybe there are some people on the board that still have one and working with it in 3D and wanna try comparison in real world applications? Unfortunately I donīt have one at hand. All you need is driver set below 5x.xx. Others are not verified yet.
Post your results here if you like : )

I canīt comment on differences in hardware, the only thing I can say for now is that with PCIDeviceID overrun people reported to have identical results on SpecView7.1a like listed QFX 2000 cards in summary of results on spec.org. The nearest conclusion would have been that nv would continue with more registers on NV3x like it was the case for nv25GL to differ between professional and gaming part, but surprisingly some people played around with SQ4 and nvstrap on nv30 boards and figured out that there is performance boost and advanced properties like in case of QFX 2000. So if you have GFFX 5800 and you have the time to make some research on your board would be great.
