Hi all, I have a problem that you pros in here might be able to solve.
I have put a space picture onto a sphere to create an enviroment for my scene. When I render single frames it looks good, but when I render out the whole animation the space texture is blinking.
I'm rendering without any texture filtering and with low antialiasing because otherwise the many small stars gets blury. I thougt that might be the problem so I tryed to render with filtering and antialiasing but that didnt sovle the problem.

Anyone have a solution to my problem?

maybe your filetexture-size is too big for your distance to the camera. this causes often flickering. but adjusting the filtering should actually blow the flickering away. :hmm:

hmmm.....you mean I should decrease the resolution of my image file, I tried that but without succes.
I have also played a little bit more with the texture filtering and the gaussian filter does eliminate the flickering but it makes the image really blury. Is it possible to use texturefiltering but without losing so much detail. You see the image contains a lot of small stars and only the bigger ones remains after the gaussian filter.

hmm, that's a real problem now :hmm:

is it just mapped with UV to a sphere ??? how big is your image file. can you show it ? or send it to me directly ?? it's always better to see the things and give help.

I think I have solved it!!:) If I make the picture 1000*1000 and also render the whole thing at 1000*1000 with the gaussian texturefilter the flickering disappears.
