The rough concept so far:
Ability to harness and manipulate ALL darkness & light
Combination of omnipotent power and constructed means
Machinery becomes fused/fractured on contact with the deity
Duality/opposition is a factor in the design
Back-story and thumbnails to follow...

I'd almost given up on the idea of taking part in DWV as work (in combination with PGCert) seemingly managed to ruin my plans again this year.
That was until Sunday evening before last. I really wanted to build my design so with the excuse of getting to grips with 3DCoat's voxel sculpting 'properly' (new GFX card etc.), I decided to return to my initial sketches and start blocking the model - just for fun.
I managed to get a good start in an evening (turntables to follow) so throwing caution to the wind, decided to go for it; using evenings and what was left of the weekend(s) I'm trying to get this submitted. So here I am. Getting there and in (fairly) good time given the 5 evenings I've had free so far.
Will I finish for the deadline? Honestly, I doubt it. I'm tied up for the best part of the weekend, but will do what I can. I have a fairly good idea of how things need to look but polish and presentation will be hard pressed given time constraints. I'm in it to learn some tools and as a personal speed test. I'll do my best though.
I'll be posting some progress shots (initial concepts date to March) and images of the sculpt so far (all done in the last week and a bit). C&C welcome; obviously they may not get implemented as much as I'd like at this stage.
Wish me luck...
