An initial concept sketch. The idea is a sort of "tree" made of a black, obsidian-like rock, very glassy, both reflecting and enveloping the light at the same time. Come out from the top of the trunk are tendrils of energy that go off up into the sky. Some civilization has tapped into the energy of the tree, piping out the natural power source.

I like the perspective. Can you mess about with the levels so we can see the image a bit clearer. :D This would look cool in the portrait format following the same perspective.

Just played with the levels some and larger pic. Gonna do some tests soon for making the ribbons of energy. Want them to be kind of ethereal with an inner glow, giving them a kind of hazy aura. Either a pale blue or pale bright green luminescence.

Damn cool looking,

I just think you might want to find a way of getting that "massive and grand area" incorperated a bit more.
I know its early on in your concept and that you probably have plans for it.

Keep it going its looking mint

That's a valid point, I've been thinking about that, but haven't decided on it yet.. I want to show some sense of vastness with the ribbons swirling in the sky, not too dense to be overpowering tho. The "pipes" leading out from the tree will also hopefully help convey it.

Nice concept, the angle looks very dynamic.
