This is my first post here in CGTalk.
My final sketch after a series of drawings on paper. I'm not much of a concept artist so this sketch will have to do. Any comments or critiques are welcome.

I like how the blue forms are "latched" on to the red forms; almost in a parasitic manner.
I think I'd like to see more layers of these, as if we're looking down a deep canyon of the red forms.

Thanks zbgump, I will be putting lots of layers of this mines, I'm just not very good at representing this in 2d:)
I think I should explain what the concept is about . The blue masses are actually structures, I'm thinking of making them more straight and angular that way it looks less organic. My idea was to have them as some kind of structures that are attached to the land mass (the red canyon) kinda like a parasite. The blue buildings will look more artificial but become more organic on the base where they branch into root like fingers that burrow into the canyon. I haven't figured out how i'll represent the change from non-organic to organic, I'll just have to play around with textures until I get something. The colour choices aren't final but I'm looking for colours that are dark yet rich. I'm thinking that this will be a mining field.
Keep the comments coming people. Judging from the competition, I need all the help I can get:)
