Gives me the feeling of being somewhere big.

it was what i wanted to draw out of the image, i wanted it to look massive.

Looking good man! very abstract, and kinda freaky......and as was said above has a very good sense of scale. Mind telling me what that thing in the bg is though? ;)

Anyways, keep going with it - it's something really different and has some good potential.

Looks like something from Aliens...except with more colour. Pretty cool :)

Kinda reminds me of Contra.

Looks like the Aliens that inhibbit this place create their structures of a materal simular to bone like substance. I think you should put more depth into what it's saying. i can see that they have energy to light up their darkness, Also the dome dosn't really explane where they come from....It just looks like a colony, or some kind of space camp....maybe some strange city like ship.

You were amoungst the best in digital class Jorge, let's see if you can once again make a loud noise with this project.

when i created this- i really never wanted it to look like anything else. However images of contra and or giger's art might have been floating around somewhere in the back of my brain. I have seen other peoples conceptuals that also look simillar to giger's work.. I can assure you however that the final outlook will only be a fraction of what you see now.

but thanx for the comment

we'll see if i have anymore fireworks left
:thumbsup:beer:

after making a few more sketches, i decided to go with this one.

i don't have time to paint- so here's an alternative for the sketch. I think this will be my final composition.

This simple scene will serve as a test scene to see if my quick sketch will work in 3d and later to test GI,FG and lights.

changed my idea once more-

i like to start my concepts with basic geometry just to see how things might look.

this is the inside of an alien cocoon.
-the pull of gravity is difficult to comprehend
-it is also unknown what comes out of these cocoons

i decided i wanted to stay away from the typical landscape type of scenery

comments are welcome - although i don't think i have time to make anymore changes

added some colour to get a slightly better idea on what it might look like in the end

Looks good, can't wait to see textures. Just one lttle thought. try to change the red of the "spidereyes", it's hard to get not reminded the neo-story... in fact the thingies there have dreadlocks too...
Never the less, looks promissing, Keep on rockin' and best luck!:buttrock:

Very cool modeling, has lots of potential if you can get it done quickly. Lots of detail already. Just a quick thought on the design, you might want to tone down the brightness of the window-like spots, you don't want it to distract from the red spidereyes in the future. I'll wait to see the textured form :)
