Well this is my first concept and there will be more added, this is just to get the atmosphere, the land will come.

yah, im planning to have these large land formations with crystals growing to the top, something has inhabited the land and is mining the resources.

Getting further, now i need to add some buildings and i might be finished with the concept. So any c&c is welcome, thanks.

I have the feeling its lacking something when compareing it with the other entries. im thinking of adding a plannet in the background, i need other colors in it so im thinking something red or green, a bit of a mix maby. weel see
Im not planning on loosing or changing the atmosphere because of the plannet with this concept though

Im not sure weather the planet adds or not, I tryed to add some red to the bottom of it to add color.
Ive been putting off panting the buildings, not sure what they'l look like yet.

I think the planet is a good move. I personally like the composition more with it than without, maybe because it frames the light effect better.

What I intended was to make the moon/sun to appear huge and far away as well as that slice of land.

I think a little less lighting on the plannet might show that better as well as not as much blur,
but ill save that for the rendering at the last, when it matters.

(Next time im going to start my concepts bigger, i doubled this ones size and now it looks crappy)

Thanks for the comments everyone, this challenge is great!

What does everyone think of orbs, i want to put something ailen in and this is all i can think of, let alone paint. should i stay with the orb or find new ideas?

The foreground is still not showing what's on it, keep up...
