free CE 6?

I suppose you could check the magazines websites that were offering it, they might have a link on there.

As far as i know, the magazines with CE on were:
3d World
Computer Arts
Digit

Or you could order a back issue of one of the magazines

hello, if u live in usa u might still be able to buy the mag. i got it a few days ago at a barnes and noble. its computer arts issue 88. u can only save a render at max of something like 640 x480 res. u can render larger but cant save any larger. till the end of november u have the option of upgrading to the 6ce+ ver for $99. which takes away the save restrictions, making it the same as a full feature cinema 4d 6. good luck. tomh21.

PC Format (uk magazine) has a copy of it but you will need to be quick to upgrade though)

I paid for my upgrade already. I'm very happy with it so far even though XL6 is a couple of years old already. The best part is you can still upgrade from CE+ (XL6) to R8 for a relatively good deal when you garner more chump change. :)


As far as the upgrade time frame goes, I believe the deal is on until the end of November or while quantities last.

There is no upgrade from CE+ yet. Apparently there will be but Maxon aren't saying when. Don't expect it to be anywhere near as good a deal as the XL6 upgrade! - Baz
