Hi all,
I've been reading the discussions on the "superb" functions of the external renderers over the Max scanline. I think I really have to choose one of them and stick to it, but I don't know whick one is the best.
so I want to ask:

1. Which one is the FASTEST GI renderer ( I read that FinalRender, Vray, Brazil should be pretty close. How do they compare??)

2. which one is more advance?? (HDRI??) or more competitive so that in the long run the package won't vanish in the market??

3. which one is easiest to use, or integrate best with Max?? Best is I can use only the Max Lights, Materials....

4. Is Lightscape still the best Radiosity programme??

5. should I give up my Max viz 4 GI and go for these renderers??

Many questions...but pls help me decide which one to use, 'coz I don't want to spend too much time learning programmes.

Thx in advance!!!

me I tested lightscape on viz4, it is very good... but for 3dsmax I prefere by far finalrender 1.3, very good control of the GI and the HDRI with finalrender of can regulate your GI with a extreme smoothness.

I use now finalRenderer 1.4 and it's just cool! It's from Cebas so I don't think it will disappear from market day by day - this company is quite big. I used to play with brazil some time ago, but it was too little too slow I don't know if they managed to work this out in next versions - I heard about 0.44 or something like this. I used also Vray, but just for a monent and I can't say anything. I think that it's just like with 3D software they are so good (I'm saying about MAX, MAYA and Lightwave) so only experts can see difference. So my advice choose one learn it for a long time and use it will be cool!
