hello everyone
This is my first attempt to model a Car ( Mitsubishi Evolution 2010 ) it is a WIP still have to add a lots of details I am looking for some good tutorials for CG car modeling techniques. I am using Maya and Mental Ray. This is just one of my daily progress test renders without any compositing or even much of lighting or texturing on it, what I am trying to do is to clean up the topology. Few weeks ago I had over 100K polygons for this model. Now after retopologizing it I have only about 16-17K polygons and improved overall shape. Any kinds of crits and comments are welcome, but my problem is that somehow I could not find good tutorials online or some other kind of learning materials for car modeling techniques and especially resolving edge flow issues so I had to learn by looking wireframe renders of other CG car models which can be a challenge but is quite time consuming and maybe not as efficient as I would like it to be. Please help.
