[list]
Select a nurbs object
Open the attr editor
The second tab from the left is the shape node. Go there.
In!

Oops. That last post was really screwed up. Looked fine in the preview. Should have been:

Select a nurbs object
Open the attr editor
The second tab from the left is the shape node. Go there.
In this tab find the section labled Tessellation.
The button at the top of this section is called "Display Render Tessellation." Enable that button to see what the surface will look like when rendered.
I'd also go with the Advanced (explicit) Tessellation section because you'll get much more control. Enable that and play around until you get what you're after.

you can also do this with more comfort in the attribute spreadsheet, at least if you wanna change more then one objectss attributes. (window-generell editors). there go to the tesselation tab. switch the first (explicit tesselation attributes) on and increase the number U and V to your needs
