This concept sketch was mainly done to get the ideas out of my head, i understand that the scene is kinda crowdwd right now, and i will be looking to change things around and fine tune it some, any feedback and suggestion will be much appreciated.
IMHO, it is a bit crowded to make out an alien landscape or setting, but I really love the image. I found three faces, a bird, a fish and a human figure.
WOW! AAAALIIEENNNN!!!!.....very intricate colors...i like it a lot......i cant imagine how to do it in 3d...just curious to see!

Thanks much for the reply,as i mentioned in my first post i understand that the scene is a bit crowded and the only reason i did that was to get them ideas from my head onto paper or pixels or whatever medium so as to get suggestions on what i should be changing or workin on further, im certainly looking to change things around, so my final may turn out looking completley diffrent from this one here.
*I found three faces, a bird, a fish and a human figure.*
With a fine imagination like that, im hoping you are taking part in the contest too, cause i would love to see your work. :) Thanks again for the feedback.

Thanks much for the encouraging reply, i know it will be a killer to do in 3D, (especially to create the feel im looking for) but im gonna try.
10-26-2003, 05:39 PM
as oz... i really like 2 see it in 3d... amazing colors...scary too...
10-26-2003, 06:32 PM
i tried to understand what is going on but i couldn't...
10-27-2003, 03:45 AM
Hey!Skis and Designer2,
Thanks much for feedback.
Im looking forward to creating and seeing it in 3D too, im not so much worried about the modeling part...its the texturing and rendering thats going to be very crucial i think.
i tried to understand what is going on but i couldn't...
well it was intentional for the most part, cause when one is in an Alien environment....it shouldnt be easily understood...otherwise it would be Bangkok instead :D
Also lookin at the contest the guidelines ...
The location where you stand seems to be moving and it is difficult to comprehend its function or intent. The surfaces and materials that surround you are nothing like you have ever seen before. The design and layout of the location defies logic or the laws of physics, though only slightly, it seems that reality here is somewhat obscure. You feel a sense of grandness and awe, your breath is coming in short tight gasps from witnessing this alien phenomenon as it starts to overwhelm you. You cry out, "Is anyone there?"
The feeling i wanted to create was of one that of a lil child who has wandered too far away from his mother.Suddenly everything looks Alien and scary...thats when one cry out. "Is anyone there?"
Thanks again for the feedback guys.

01-18-2004, 12:05 PM
 Thanks dear zappa
Very amazing question, and thanks for your interest. In fact we have good and stronge tallents here in iran but becaues of any governmental support and worse any correct education and more and more parameters.................. we cann`t produce a good film.We always have good ideas but no techniques and tools for doing it.
Which films did you see dear zappa?Could i know your country? Its amazing for me to know the situation of iranian films in a foreign country.
Know your work, you have good ideas and concepts and also modeling and lighting, please some hurry up to incresing the quality of the image,We have no time.you must winnnnn!!
Thanks for your interests and good luck to you too:bowdown:

01-26-2004, 01:23 AM
Thanks for the info about the CG/Film situation in Iran, there is a lot of intrest among the people here (i live in the US) to know more about everyday life in Iran...i think you and your other good friends should get together and have a CG Talkers meeting and support each other to make good films and CG and other art related work:)
I understand that its hard to do all this when theres not much support from the government etc, however if all of you try, you can change things around.
All the best in your endeavors.
I checked out your AW Challenge entry, and i think its good work.
Wish you all the best.
01-26-2004, 11:06 PM
Thanks dear friend!
Real problems here are these :
CORRECT FILM EDUCATION
If we combine and create a new group we havn`t any money for doing it and more important no scientific knowledges.
But anyway we are doing little works and in the future we can do better things.
Thanks again dear friend and best of lucks to you:thumbsup:
01-27-2004, 02:01 AM
Theres a lot of info about filmmaking on the web...(i persume you have good access to the www, since you are an active member of CG Talk), what you should aim at doing is make "very" small budget films (with home video cameras etc), and try to sell the concept on the web, im sure if your ideas are good there will be people to finance your film project.
Shoot actual footage (eg.: life of an artist in Iran) or similar ideas.
Wish you all the best
