Dsign 06-03-2002, 09:27 PM Hi there,
This work is here to show you, my 3d work capacity.
I know that I got a long way to run, but I think this is a average piece!...I have studied a lot of shadowing and lightning...
By the way, I used the beta version of "EnduranceRenderVision", a new software for the rendering!! real good..
Well, hope to see some comments of you guys.

Thanks for the replys!!
Well, here is a close up of the sphere Renderwhite, the rendering time of EnduranceRenderVision, is very low, but it works the mesh very well as you all see.
looking foward for more comments

I think I see some artifacts in the renderer due to the use of a cracked version of EnduranceRenderVision renderer...

those arent rendering artifacts, they are the result of using a Gouraud shader (which calculates pixel color by interpolating along vertices), and not a phong style shader (which calculates color by calculating the normal of each individual pixel). just my 2 cents.

Dsign: I admire your confidence and true courage in posting such an inspiring "piece". Your skill and raw talent in understanding the complexities of shadows and lighting is truly something else. Knowing that you can take a sphere and a box and turn it into something of this quality is a true testament that ANYTHING can be done in CG. Charge onward with your pursuit of shadows and light genius and I truly hope to see how far you can actually take this image!
By the way, the extreme closeup of the sphere really helps me to see your artistic vision for this "piece"

speechless this is just about the BEST starship ive ever seen. what technique (S) did you use? nurbs, sub ds? wow !! at the rate that Data landscpe Oil softwares is pushing technology they will probably kill of renderman and then take out maya! can you imagine, next thing you know they might just top the mountain peak and offer incredible models like yours as their primative shapes!! :buttrock: and that would surely unite the 3D community, no more maya, lightwave, max heads we would all become Data landscpe Oil heads. rock on my genius friend.
