An alien land with huge, egg-shaped crystals enclosed by arms of stone that seem to glow with a light of their own. In places, only the stone shell is left. Have the crystals been shattered by the elements? Subject to erosion? Or... stolen?

Maybe they hatched, maybe they were mined by pan-dimensional beings from Procyon, maybe they were eaten by rock monsters. It's up to your imagination :p
I think I will be going with the red. Here's a bit of a render test, 'proof of concept'. Not sure how I'm going to do the crystals, whether they'll be glass-like or more opaque.

I like the idea but i think that you must search a little more the concept. I think it needs something more...But this is only my opinion. Good start. Keep on.

Eh, I've never been much for concept work. I usually do something really rough, flesh it out more in my head (I know what I want it to look like, and the sketch above doesn't do it any justice), and then work it out from there. I think I'm going in a good direction here.
