View Full Version : js multilayer passes issue

Hi guys, i'm working in a project with some cg integration shot. I'm layering mia_xpasses with js multilayer, cool! but then I realize it doesn't work with passes :banghead: i mean, i got a weird reflection, no specular and only in one object diffuse.
is there any way to get the real passes with jsmult ?

wow... i cant believe there is no way to render passes layering mia_xpasses!

I wasn't aware that any passes were working in Maya, ever.

You may need to link your passes directly to the various subshaders, instead of the jsmulti itself.

i actually linked two miaX in two different layer and then with a mask in the second opacity layer i can reveal the first one (think about a rusty metal). So if i link any single shader to the passes (which i actually don't know how to do) I'm gonna miss the background shader revealed by the mask.
i hope was clear the explanation. in case i can send you a snapshot of the nodes.
