3dsmax: Std Material: Face Map

When using in 3dsmax a standard material I can check: Face Map

I think that option means, that the direction of the map is always facing to the camera.
How can I setup a Vray Shader with that option ?

But have you actually tried what this option does? Anyway, if you want your map to face the camera, just set the coordinates to "Environ" and "screen" so that you Bitmap is mapped in screen space.

hmmm, well.. unfortunately this doesn't work.

yeah... this option faces the map always to the direction of the camera.
and this is exactly what I want.

But that option doesn't exist in the vray shader.
actually it can be found in the UVW map settings, but the problem is that I use a simple particle emitter with a Facing option.

And I can't add a UVW mapping to the particle emitter, or can I ?

no, it doesnt... it actually applies a copy of the map to every face of an object.

you can do the same thing by adding an UVW map modifier and setting it to 'face'.

@CHRiTTeR:

hmm.. that's my problem.. I use a super spray as emitter and I am not able to apply an UVE Map to the particle emitter... is there any known work around ?
