"So, Fixie. How are you planning to do this?"
Fixie shrugged as her consciousness was leaving the Omnet and entering the real world.

"We play this one safe, Gregor. I hack in and start a fire alarm. The T-Corp grunts will try to get McBotten out of there."

Gregor lit another cigarette and his lung implants hisses silently.

"That's when I crash the van in their limo, right?"

"Right, Gregor."

Fixie raised her hand and her fingers started typing in the air.

"Let me check... Ok, this is the maintenance day, so there will be a service shuttle parked right next to McBotten's garage. So if you hit them right, they're gonna be trapped."

She looked at Gregor and tapped him on his enormous shoulder.

"Then I'm gonna dive in to fry the grunts' bioware. And that's gonna take a while so I'll need you to cover my ass at this point."

"Oh, baby... I'll cover you ass with my hot..."

"Just shut up, Gregor. Take this seriously. This is the way out of here, just this last job."

"I know Fixie. I've got your back."

The smog over Perilo created a romantic view, or at least it looked that way from the roof of the Wasai Tower. Fixie hated this place. All the dust, all the filth, all the... people.

"Just make sure you don't shoot McBotten in the head, Gregor. I need to download his biodrive first."

Gregor laughed and grabbed Fixie by her hips.

"Don't worry baby. We know how to do this. Just this last job."

This is absolutely awesome piece of work! I just love it man. I really dig the story and the feeling that you have put in these two characters. I feel like I know this guys and I can only imagine what yould have go wrong in their "last job" :)

You done some pretty god details, but what really blow my mind is the shaders and lighting.

I just hope you will be plugged or even get the award for this artwork beacuse you sure deserved it.

I have to say you did a marvelous job on this. my fav parts are the fixie's hair and the expressions. but i guess the metal armors need more work on their textures, looks a bit unreal to have that wide scratched edges. overall well-done!

Some critics: I dont like the roots of her hair. Seems like they are floating in the air, somehow! And there is something with his proportions, but I can´t point at it! Anyway, love it!

Great Image !! Wonderful atmosphere and scale. I like everything about the characters with the exception of the girls' pose. I keep asking myself ,'What is she looking at?', but I also know if you went through all of the trouble of building such a great character you want to show people her face. Tough balance. I might have shown her looking toward the city sacrificing that aspect. Great work nonetheless, you are seriously talented.

and some stuff about lights, not too detailed, but details are not too interesting, its basicaly just MR sky sun, with some photometric lights around, every light have just some color and intensity setup.

For materials, I used mostly arch and design material with various settings and a lot of textures fro each part. For skin I used Master zap skin shader+ - I love that shader!

I can make some materials breakdown when I ll get home today If you are interested.

Impressive! Establishing these two new characters and their relationship just through one image and a wonderful short story is a really credible job! The sculpting and texturing works are amazingly detailed and I especially liked the costume design for fixie.Great work and hat's off to your friends too for their wonderful support! :beer:

Texturing for Fixie's clothing is incredible, as has been mentioned. Really loving it. I could sense the exact same type of story unfolding just from the image alone... great atmosphere, and great work all around.

can you please elaborate how you achieved the great looking hair.
I usually use shave and haircut for hair however it is somewhat limited when it comes to dreads and curls.

Thanks so much for nice words, I am happy you like it.
About hair, they are pretty simple, just mesh with some "hair-like" material (basic material with hair textures dif/nm/spec), and some planes with alphakeyed hairs around it.
