No, it just means there are a lot of lurkers that don't feel they have anything to criticize :D
It looks great, and if you are going for a stylized look, then some of my comments can be disregarded, but for starters, I think the head, on the whole, is a bit tall and thin. Boris' head is a bit rounder, and his nose a bit more "bulbous."
Also, there are a few areas that look too sharp, or pointy. This is most noticable on the line running down the center of his mouth, and across his brow line.
Apart form this, the model is looking great, as is the texture... Keep it up!

Agree, looking pretty good. Perhaps you could do the head wider. I think it looks a bit to thin now. And the bushy eyebrows.

Mouth looks as if he is hiding his smile. :)
Try to lower the tips of the mouth a little.
The nose is too narrow - can make the nosdrils rounder.
And you can make the entire head a little wider.

Sweet stuff Elufu, are you going to do a body too? What package are you using? How about showing a wire?
nice stuff, I look forward to an update.

Nice work so far. I would rather you take this in your own stylized direction rather than a staight copy of Boris himself, but that's my opinion.

I like your green man, though, the nose and the mouth are making ya character looks unnatural, wat software are you using, is your charcater heavy?

Are you a f...... nazi ???
On your video tank model you put the svastika.
http://www.warproductions.com/final2.mov
Remove it man that really sucks.
About Frankenstein is a very good model.

i'll remove it as soon as steven spielberg removes it from indiana jones. and all the history books replace the word nazi with "person with political differences"
If you dont like it dont look at it.
Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Geez, where are the comments on this guy? I think he looks fantastic!. He is sitting nicely on the boundary between realistic and cartoony. My one crit would be that the scar stands out a bit much, but I want to see more of him!
Nice job!

thank you guys for the critics, unfortunately i have been unable to put much work into him due to the INCREDIBLE WORKLOAD they give us at gnomon .

taking a poly class this term so i can work on this guy again. its amazing how fast polygons are compared to Nurbs. Both sides are almost exact mirrors so i still need to go and tweek it more so its not symetrical

Elfufu,
the model looks pretty sweet, I'd love to see a textured body for him. I've always had a thing for the old Boris Karloff Frankestein's monster.
The cloth could use some work, and I'd make him a little thicker, I never saw Frankie as being that slim.
How's gnomon? I've never actually heard anything about that school from a student. Seems like a cool place to be.

Hey thats a great looking model. For one of your first human models I think you are on the right track. Pretty soon I'm sure you'll be posting front page material. Keep it up. I agree with everyone else, he is a little thin but it seems you widened his head in the newer image. Can't wait to see it with textures and animated.

Definitly great work, man! Cant wait to see the whole thing textured. I dont know about the shoes though, frankenstein figure with platform shoes...funny and odd at the same time. Keep up the good work!

i think the platforms are ok. it's just that the soles are smaller than the base of the shoe. if you make the soles the same size (or bigger) than the base of the shoe and the toe is more rounded i think it will be ok.

Sorry about posting a comentary on the nazi thing, but I can't just quiet. And sorry just for being in your thread, elfufu.
It's wrong, at least in art, to criticise things like "Oh my God, he used the prohibited symbol!"
People should be free to express themselves (and I'm remembering the Antropus artwork with the walls with his black plumbers heads) as they trully feel like.
I know that in a forum like this one we have all kinds of cultures here (jews, cristians, muslims) and as by that, we all are very exposed to pollitical, ethnic and cultural sensibilities.
As people that make art, we should be more compreensive (is it well spelled).
Another thing is that art has a social function. This case, this "nazi" thing, should not be repulsive to you, Volcandro, or even if it is, you should not criticise that. It could an awakening to your conciousness.
Don't be diminished.
Sorry for the inconvinience.

The model looks great!
as for tjhe nazi tank......I cannot see what the problem is, modeling a german ww2 tank is no different than modeling a US or a UK tank

i cant agree more with you mushroom
Look people. a sign is a sign. jeez. the nazi symbol was actualy a tibeten peace symbol. the symbol never killed anyone. the symbol never started a war. it was a human being. if your not mature enough to understand the CONTEXT of how it is used then dont comment on it. putting it on a tank is fine. its our worlds history. the context is good... now if it was burned on the arm of a guy being killed in a painting ... thats soo wrong soo wrong. GET IT
sory for the rant

SpiritWalker,
I'm not telling that killing people is good at any reason. The only thing that I'm trying to tell is that consciousness is personal, and that noone should interfear with that. I'm trying to spread a peace message man!
And yes, the Holocaust WAS a repulsive period. It doesn't exist know. Following things by prohibiting them is the same that eleminate all holocaust films, all films about war.
Censoring is giving ignorance to other people.
