Hi, I am new to Rhino and wanted assistance to achieve similar results found on this site http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ho1snzDlz2M&feature=related

Here is a screen grab...

1: Spline guide of the shape
2: Spline is placed over a mesh object
3: Spline is extracted from mesh... the goal here is to ensure that the extracted shape can be sub-patched.

Is anybody able to provide me with a detailed break-down on how to achieve this on my modeled ring?

The video tutorial is quite self explanitory, what do you not understand?

Hi rfollett,

what I don't understand is how he is able to extract spline from mesh, it's kinda hard to understand what he is saying. So I was after a brief break-down of how he is doing?
