plus the topology on the belt pieces look a little funny.

It'd be cool once you get it done to team up with someone who has an Iron Man model and do some scenes/dioramas (unless you have an Iron Man model up your sleeve too?).
Keep up the great work.

helo,
i think, i need to give more time for vanko, i did a simple rig setup in maya, now i am adjusting the skin weights, and testing the deformations. (as i am not comfortable with transpose tools), i know it is time taking process, but just i hate transpose:wip:
i am planning to make a wrecked f1 race car also to the scene. if i get enought time, i will work on it for the final diorama.
here is a snapshot from maya.

Hello cgrenesh, it's looking good, although the image is too small, it's difficult to really assess the work, but from the previous shots you posted, the details on the chest apparatus are awesome.
The only thing I don't like is the base, but I suppose it's only temporary, and it's a small detail really :)
Excellent work, keep it up!

Yes, I agree with kyhalbu about the hair, although for me the resemblance with Mickey Rourke is already there, but with the hair it will look great. Any ideas on making the hair?

Hello cgrenesh.
Looking good man. I compared your image with an image of Mickey Rourke, the only things that could be a little bit better are the shape of the ears, as seen from the front, especially the ear lobe, it could be lowered just a bit. Also, the neck looks a tiny bit wide, although Ivan Vanko is a very muscular character, and this isn't very problematic.
Here's the Mickey Rourke I used to compare:
http://www.behindthehype.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/mickey_rourke_110807_00011.jpg
Keep it up, this one is definitely one of my favorite entries.

but the hair part looks strange to me.

In my opinion, you should go for "hair and fur". As you are trying to do it very realistic since beginning.
You should now work on cloth and shoes part too...

03-10-2011, 06:31 PM
hey renesh...
great work...
emotional attachment? haha... nice one. :) We can see your emotions and hardwork.
Aren't you sculpting the skin? It's too tight right now. I think you should bring some aging and looseness. Did you say this is the final accessories? Aren't you going to sculpt the leather details? :surprised
I think your cloth folds looks better in viewport than in render.
You are going good Renesh. Best of luck.

@Kyhalbu, My final accessories means the final mesh,( No more Split polygon, No more edge looping, No more extrusion....) :scream:
Of-course i am going to give details on leather and skin.
And about cloth, the mesh is low-res right now., there is no displacement map applied. i think, it is going to look better in final renders for the submission..
