Frozen Time is a short animation set in 19th century Paris. Inspired by classic authors of the period, such as sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Victor Hugo and Charles Dickens, it portrays one moment in time on the nightfallen streets of Paris. The story is told in the form of an animated comic strip.

This film was created as a diploma project in 2010-2011, by Paweł Rajch and Wojtek Sokołowski from Poland.

Programs used: Autodesk Maya, Pixologic Zbrush, Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, paper and pencil
Budget: $50

Nice work. Often split screen footage can be difficult to watch but you've pulled it off nicely here. I really liked how the story unraveled. Cool artistic style too. Reminded me, just a little bit, of the Philips Carousel commercial.

Thanks. At the beginning we had some difficulty to make the story "readable", plus we had to learn the programs almost from square one, so its nice to hear that someone likes it :)
