Looks good to my ignorant eyes. I'm wondering how long you've been working on this, and did you start off by making sketches on paper?

The face is attractive in its unique way, so if that's what you're going for i think it's working. Have you sketched some hair onto the head in Photoshop just to see if she looks the way you want her to? A lot of girls look like they have funny shaped heads until you slap hair on them.

I have tried out some hair and found a hairstyle that works for her. I am going to start on the hair very soon I just want to get the rig completed first then I can fnish off the hair it will be a coombination of mesh and dynamic hair.

Thanks for the input so far.

how long has it taken you to get this far, and did you start with pre-made meshes you had used earlier?

do you start with a pre-made mesh? as in adapting one of your older models?...

No this model was started from scratch or I should say a primitive Box object.

I modelled this using poly modelling and smoothing.

Hey Matt,

Looking good! I especially like the boots/clothing/accessories. Nice work.

The only thing I am somewhat bothered by is the back or her head and/or the placement of the ear. I guess it won't matter if she has hair.

Looking forward to seeing her in action!

yah that ear position is a little tricky, I might work on it a little more cause I want to do the ponytail hair cause honestly i have had a hell of a time with hair, a pony tail is easier cause I can map most of the hair and just use dynamic hair for the ponytail.

thanks for the input bro.

From my portrait classes, I learnt that certain landmarks on the face line up. I have moved some bits from your image in Photoshop to illustrate this. The top join between the head & the ear is level with the corner of the eye (the eye should be approx half way from the top of the head to the chin) The bottom of the ear is approx. level with the tip of the nose. I've also reshaped the back of the head to what I feel looks more realistic.

Changes:
*Moved the eye up slightly to place it approx. half way up the face
*Moved the ear forward & rotated slightly
*Altered the back of the head slightly

Obviously, these are based on my 'ideals' & every human is different!

thanks so much Knifejuggler thats the type of feedback I wanted I will make some changes and reupload soon.

Keep the crits coming guys I find its the best way to better my skills, sometimes you cant see what is wrong cause you have looked at it for so long.
