Fantastic, i love it.... another amazing peice!
1 questions tho, whats the cord that runs down the pillar and ends on the footpath
I love the small details, the poster on the left, and the cloth stained cloth on the right....inspirational, a very balanced picture!
Fidel Castro, would be proud :p

ITs very, very, very, very nice man. One thing though, dont take it as an insult or anything because i cant do anything like this: the girl looks like an old guy...

Yeah how'd you make that old guy? He's the weakest part of an otherwise great image.

Yeah, thats totally an old guy wrapped in a shower curtain. Cool. It makes you look twice. Wha?! Lame crit: The bases of the big pillars should be corroded or something where they meet the ground. It looks like they just intersect the ground without any textural consideration. Some trash would gather around them or something, I dunno. Awesome picture. Awesome light and color, wow.

Yeah that's a little better but overall the geometry of the figure looks questionable.. and kind of low rez? The overall image would be better IMO opinion without her?

The girl is the weakest part of the image, but overall it's quite nice. Question about the reflection to the left by the gate, is that supposed to happen? If it's water then you have to make it more evident, if it's the tile then that's weird because the area looks kinda grundgy :)
nice work

yes it's supposed to be water, ok, i'll try a version without the girl if you dislike her ... :( by the way I didn't model her, I thought it was a solution to give life to the scenery :)
as you see I prefer environments!! :)

Che the pinko!
err
:) Beautiful work. I'm in agreement the girl looks bit on the down side. Maybe touch up in photoshop and add some dark flowing hair?
Without her there though the image becomes unbalanced and a bit boring (great work yes but w'ere talking aesthetics.. or.. balance.. or.. i can't spell think today so:)

Yes well because there is just a black hole through the doorway.. I understand the concept your were going for but if you are going to use stock geometry I think it is really important that it look good. IMO the model you selected was a "cheap/quick" solution for what was to be focus of your image.
I may be possible to improve the use of her by not having her with her arms up in the air.. cause the armpit's and shoulder deformations look bad. Also the hips are too wide.. they do not blend well into the thinner legs. And lastly the hair I guess is supposed to be pulled back but instead looks like a man. I mean there just isn't enough attention to detail in the face. She should have visible red lips. I imagine that the hair should be black but you will have to put something behind her in the doorway to give contrast.
Just for some research I did an image search for "cuban woman"
http://www.dunas.com/cuba/cuba23.jpg
http://images.fotki.com/v1/photos/1/1437/14791/Untitled88-vi.jpg
So I think that more of a hair style, some lips and a more relaxed arm pose would make the female stock character worthy of the surroundings.

That's okay.. I think most of my suggestions did not involve making a new character. I'm sure oyu coudl repose her, gibve her some hair and some makeup.. right??

I would not worry so much about the character. The scene looks very nice.Anyways it's rare to see such nice scenes.Stick with that El Rafo.
