Hi there....

Hope I'm posting this in the right place....

I finnished modelling and texturing her just before entering The Sideshow Competition. All that I had left was to do was rig her for posing.

There are a few areas I would like to improve upon, but probably won't for now.

She weighs in at 4922 polys, and her Katana is 262 polys.

Software: 3d Studio Max 4 & 5 and Photoshop 7 for mapping.

Hi there ,

I feel i need to answer to this,

Romania Man, i can just say your answer is ugly too ! come on boy, maybe you dont like it , but just saying it is ugly doesnt help more !!! what could u propose to make her prettier hum ? . . . .

Mindrot, you did a great job !, in my opinion with some more time spent on the modeling you could get a really great character, what i suggest you is to go on some reference web site such as fineart . . .or others (there are links on CGtalk all around) and find some pretty photos of girls from side view and front view and see by yourself what is wrong . . . her waste is really too large , and there are some other anatomical issues, but the principal is there !! you just have some tweaking to do !
I really love the last two shots ! even with the anatomical issues you get very dynamic images ! and really eye attractive !! espacially the on from side view , the posing is great !!! , for the textures they are great !! you did a fine job creating that gothic look ! so again , just search some references to fine tune your model and you'll get a really sweet character !!!!

AND :thumbsdow TOO FOR Romania !!!! . . . .

Cheers Mindrot ! ! :wavey:

das..very ooogly..but nice texturing tho...from the front pic, it looks like she's been inhaling twinkies for some time now...and her face is too manish....jaw and chin too square.

Thanks HaDDeS  : I think the corset could be tapered in at the waist a bit...

Stooge: yeah the face is probably a bit hard in places. I'll post a few other images with a bit more focus on the face.

I like the model, but I think her trunk is too wide. :applause:

thanks Quester99. looking at her directly from the front does make her look a bit wide. Might fix that some time..... make the corset tighter ;)

I'm starting to think that I should of posted her in WIP section. The only reason I didn't was that I got a bit tired of her and wanted to move on to my next project.

I'll possibly post any changes I make to her in the WIP section in the future....

Here's a shot that's a bit more focussed on the face....

The pose is really effective - I like it. Your texture mapping is also really good.

It is the proportions that are letting you down. As mentioned use some reference sies such as fineart to adjust the proportions. It seems that the head is a bit too small, the waist too wide and there is not enough variation in the arms and legs. The mesh looks alright but I'm sure you could lose alot of polys from the face area. Her hair tooks a little too lank also, maybe give it more volume. Adjust these things and you'll have a stunner.

All the best. :)

Not to be crude, but I think her crotch is a little too large. For a woman, it shouldn't stick out so much. Especially in the first picture, it's quite distracting.

i think, that her face is too harmless .... for an assassin...

greate pose.. looks ok from the side.. fix the torso shape so it looks good from the front (a little thinner) and fix up the face. not sure how to go about making it prettier (I personally would like to see her eyes a tad lower on her head)

I would agree that the Torso is a bit wide from the front and does not have as well a defined shape as from the side, possibly the neck is a little long too? But the second picture is great, very nice body pose and form and an unusually but refreshingly human face, I like the rounded nose in particular.

Very nice job on the texturing too a very convincing and deceptively intricate rubber suit. Its definitely worth just the little bit of extra work to sort those bugs out!

Thanks Frank..... I'll probably get stuck in to it again at a later stage. I'm just busy starting another much larger project. But I do think it will worth a bit more effort to fix up a few things....

Thankyou

I love the character. The waist maybe too short and the hip is kind of wider than normal.. Texture is real good. Clean model. :D CHEERS! :buttrock:

Yet you have to agree that the face isn't easy on the eyes and that the proportions are off, but also if a little bit more time was spent on it, it WILL turn out into an A class model. I think it's one of those things where you should take a break and come back to it later. gl.
