EDIT - I might not need anything now. Managed to get hold of a few weighted characters from friends since I made the first post. Cheers. :)

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes...

I'm working on my animation showreel at the moment and it'd really help if I could show that I can animate lots of different character types. As I'm sure you all know, creating characters can be very time consuming, so I thought I'd ask if anyone has any high quality game characters that they'd be willing to let me animate.

It would help if characters were weighted to a basic skeleton, but that's not essential, and there would be no need for them to be rigged (I can do that bit myself).

I understand that people can be very precious about their work, but I'd obviously give credit to the original artist, and keep the artist updated when the reel was finished so that they can see the results, and veto if they're not happy with how their work is being represented.

Hope people are feeling charitable. :)

Many thanks.

i would have thought it would be simpler and more effective to simply create very, very simple block figures and use them. if you're creating an animation show reel i'm assuming the viewers and potential employers won't be looking at the amazing shaders and textures, they'll be looking at the movement won't they?

i would have thought animating something as simple as a skeleton would be just as effective at showcasing your animation, and would also be easier to animate
