View Full Version : RADEON 7500 with Max 3 or 4
CANIM8 06-02-2002, 06:15 AM Anyone using a RADEON 7500 and running Max? I need to know if you've had any problems with this card during setup and if the problems were resolved.
Thanks,

I use Radeon 8500 with Max no problem. ATI has been doing a good job updating drivers because they had problems. I suggest you go to www.rage3d.com if you have problems with the card.

Please if anyone has links to info about running Max on a notebook using the Radeon 7500 post 'em here. Or if you've used the Radeon 7500 and have had problems running any 3D program...I really need to know.
I've researched for over a month to find a kickass maxed out notebook to run my 3D apps on while I"m away from MY PRECIOUS.. Unfortunately, It's on the way and I forgot to post my questions about the video card and potential problems...Now I"m freaking out.
Thanks,
Clay

hi CANIM8
i wonder you'v got a bad chioce! :)
i'v a radeon 7500 on a 900mhz athlon too, running 3dmax 4.2.5
but it ****S! ATI ****S as always! :) it's not good enough @
OPEN GL even DIRECT 3D with MAX anyway.
i'v a gforce2 gts on an athlon xp 1700+ & it's much much better
in viewport rendering. & even games & etc.
(i bought that ATI just for TV OUT,excelent tv out!)
& about notebook, i saw some TOSHIBA PIII/IV notbook powerd
by GFORCE 4 & 1600x1200 LCD display, ideal for MAX & MAYA.

Thanks for the info fellaz.
I've been to a few other forums and seem to get mixed reviews about running radeon 7500 with Max. I can always send it back if it doesn't work......it's just a pain in the @$$ and I'm looking forward to being able to travel without carrying the behemoth of a system with me for once.
ILA_SOLOMON: My notebook configuration is 2.2 GHZ 1,024MB RAM ... 15" uxga display...blah blah...the people building the notebook assured me that all of the latest drivers would be loaded and ready. I'm hoping everything will work out. I was really specific about what I was using the notebook for and was told that I shouldn't have a problem running any 3D app on this machine.....Anyway..I'll let you guys know what happens when I get it if you're interested.
nxo1: Thanks for the link and the info man. I appreciate it.
Later fellaz,
Clay
