Need Vue/Maya integration help!

I created a scene in Vue 9 xStream with a threatening cloud front (dark clouds). I then added a point light and placed it within the atmosphere and animated the point light to simulate lightning in the clouds. It worked PERFECTLY!

As soon as I open the scene in Maya (to add some Maya animation), the point light no longer lights the atmosphere. I've tried increasing the intensity, messing with the render settings, and even added a new point light in Maya... Nothing seems to be working.

Any clues would be awesome!

I know there is a way to export and match camera between the two apps... If you can't get it right in Maya, you can render both scenes in its own software and comp them together. Sorry, I don't have the magical awnser. I thought Vue lights would work in Maya though.
