Hey all,

We've been given our first character design brief by University. One of our concepts was to create a 'visual family' - two characters that clearly belong in the same world and look like some sort of partnership. We were asked to create one 'Tank' character and a 'soldier' character (not in the literal sense) asking us to try and be as diverse and different as possible.

Now this is my first serious attempt at concept art so critique would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

It's too soft... now that you got the basic shapes in, you need to define those shapes more by adding hard edge lines instead of the fuzzy brushes you have been working with.
