hello!

my 1st post and i hope this is the right place to come looking for the answer of my question.

The situation is following : I have this candlestick, and it has these candles with lights that are Omni lights, and they are visible, it has added lens effects - ray/glow/star. The issue is... i cannot reproduce the effect no more :banghead: when i try to make this scene anew omni lights just do not appear visible. I tried to google up the solution but posts i have stumbled on say the other way of showing lights by adding self illumination to the sphere, but if i understood it correctly they use mental ray materials/renderer which is no option for me, as i have to use scanline renderer.

As you may have already guessed I am fairly new to the 3d studio max. I am using version 2010/2011 (2 different pcs with different version) if that helps.

here is the scene i try to recreate with no luck

thank you in advance :wavey:
