Our dedicated technology team keeps our proprietary engine up to date with the most bleeding edge features, tools and runtime, and we’re home to some of the most talented CG, animation, technology, design and audio artists in the world. We’re currently looking for a Sr. Maya Tools Programmer for our next awesome game!

DescriptionJOB PURPOSE

The Sr. Tools Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining software tools and processes in all disciplines. This may include but not limited to interactive editor-style visual tools, engine systems (e.g. particle systems, animation systems) and automated pipeline or build system tools.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the other disciplines to identify and resolve workflow & pipeline problems
Design, implement and maintain software tools for art, design, production and programming
Continuously improve the user experience and performance of our tools
Assess and debug problems with our tools
Create and maintain technical software documentation
QUALIFICATIONS

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
Expert C++ skills (5+ years experience)
Experience developing Windows GUI applications using MFC and Win32
Advanced knowledge of game content creation pipelines and tools
Advanced knowledge of games systems (3D graphics, animation, camera control & lighting)
Experience using source control systems (i.e. perforce, CVS, SVN)
Strong math skills including trigonometry and linear algebra
Ability to effectively communicate with and support various team members, including other engineers, artists, and designers
Excellent documentation habits including code and how-to guides
PLUSES

· C#, .NET
· Qt, wxWidgets
· 3ds Max SDK, MaxScript
· Maya API, MEL
· UI design experience
· SQL
