Spent a month building, texturing and animationg this. I found out the deadline on it has been moved up a month so I have lots of time to make changes and add stuff. There is lots I wanted to do for the scene I didn't have time to build and I'd appreciate any other suggestions as well. Enjoy! :)

woah, nice!

what kinda figures are they?
they look like a combination of a rabbit an ant and a fish, lol;)
I like the animation, to I think its a bit dark, so the viewer misses some of the kewl modelling/animations, but I guess u did that for the atmosphere:D

Thanks! Here's a glamor shot of the boy bunny...

Yeah, they are kinda oddworldish bunnies. One thing I want to do since I have time is pump up the fill light level so you can see the lipsynch better. Thanks for the feedback. :)

BTW, the sound clip is from 10 second club and was taken from the movie Notting Hill.

Is that going to be the final animation, with that sound clip? Real cool!

I think you should try to improve the lighting the most, because it looks very harsh right now. The models and textures are really great, but the lights can add much more to the atmosphere then they do right now. Since it looks like a romantic dinner to me, maybe you could add a candle for some warm orange ambient light. Ditch the raytraced shadows, and go for shadow mapped spots.

Here's a link to an image from the Lightwave gallery:

Most likely rendered with global illumination, but it's a very nice reference.

Some small suggestions:
- I would change the window frame a bit, so that the glass is spaced in even lengths.
- Get the moon out of the centre of the window.
- Make the table a bit smaller, so that the bunnies sit closer to eachother and you can zoom in a bit. There is a lot of dead space between the bunnies right now.
- Make the carrots bigger and more visible (they look yellow right now)
- If possible, blur the reflection in the window a bit, and put a sky image behind it. Maybe add a bump map to break up the reflection. And if you are really going for it, add some textures to make the glass a bit more interesting.

Right now this is a very nice animation, but with better lighting this will be a a awesome piece of CG, I'm absolutly sure of that.

Yeah, great characters, I agree that lighting could be the most improved.
Right now there doesn't really seem to be a light source. If it is the moon, then the light should be a lot cooler, and the shadows pointing more toward the camera. If you decide to go with a candle, then the light should be warmer. You could use a light cluster to fake some soft shadows, which I think would look good with a candle.
But regardless of what you decide for your key light, you should definatley add some bounce and fill lights. It will really accentuate the models, and add more mood to the scene. For instance, an ever so subtle yellow spot lightpointing up from underneath the table. You can exclude objects so that it only illuminates the underside of the plates and the bowl.
Great models, great textures. Nice work.

Marcel-Thanks a lot for the feedback! Lots of good suggestions there. I took some shortcuts to get this done in time but I'll have plenty of time to get those things done now. :)

Gilgamesh-Thank you as well. I'll be working on the lighting.

More to come...

It's great. My favorite part is when she takes a drink and then has a little burp or hicup afterwards. Very sutle and clever.
